I think you’re right. Blogs can be wonderfully used as squeeze pages. All the things you’ve been saying about making opt-ins clearly visible and that look professional is true. The money is still in the list, just in case anyone was still wondering

You said it! it is very hard to get people email addresses,i am always trying new things to get people to sign up. But with so many marketers doing the same thing,i can see how people just do not trust anyone.Thanks for the very informative post.

Good content proves bribes aren’t always necessary; I had decided to subscribe to your blog before I got to the end of the article. Nevertheless, I’ll happily accept whatever you might have on offer two years on.

Much of my blog reading is related to finding quality resources that I can offer to my own beginner bloggers, and this blog appears to be a likely candidate. I’ll be back to explore further later.

I am loving learning all the things you can do with Blogs. I have seen personally over the last 4 years the power of good content etc but am really learning a lot now about squeeze pages.

Do you know of a way to build a squeeze page with your blog though?

I believe you can have both and am just wondering if you have tried building squeeze pages with your blog?

Erwin,

I think so, at least it does for me. People come to your blog, read the content, not just the pitch and offer to download something and if they decide to subscribe – it is a more conscious decision than a simple need to download one freebie offered on squeeze page.

But it is just my opinion.

Hi Alex,

I know this may be an old blog. Would like to ask you though…

After about a year, do blogs really convert better than squeeze pages. The reason why I ask is because I was doodling a diagram when I realized with long-awaited flash of insight that I can create something like a squeeze page by writing a post!

It certainly saves me a lot of time to backlink to my blog then to my promos. I just want to hear your input. I love WordPress a lot so I wouldn’t wanna leave it laying fallow for long.
