TheSpotter on July 15th, 2008WordPress 2.6 was released today ahead of the schedule and it contains quite a few fixes. I didn’t see any mentions of the security fixes so, looks like at this point it is more of a Version Upgrade. Recommended you do so because it has some nice features.
Instead of talking here - I’ll just share their official video with what has changed:
Enjoy

I was wondering what these latest changes were!
Looks like some of these will be really useful - especially now being able to add captions under images. Long overdue

I upgraded today - one point to note is that upgrading from, I think, pre 2.3 can make all your categories disappear - it did for me which was extremely frustrating!
Luckily I only had 5 or 6 categories and I manually sorted this via the database - not so good for people who do not have this type of access or knowhow!
Hopefully they wort that soon!
