Wow I didn’t know you could speed Wordpress up like that. I have been concerned about my Worpress blog’s speed for a while, I found the post very helpful.

Speedy completely broke my blog, despite carefull installation. fortunately I ALWAYS use a test site on stuff like this. Even uninstalling the plugin still left a fatal error, that I could not easily resolve. The concept is good, but I would advise caution, as this is still very new. Another good test site is http://tools.pingdom.com/ Better breakdown of results are given.

i understand theoritically it does make sense and I have the technical understanding to know that it does make sense.. single connection equalls lower overhead for negotiating connection equals faster load times…
but my load times are actually slower when using php speedy at my blog.. typical load time is around 1 second after php speedy it jumps up to about 2-2.5 seconds..

i tried doing it a few imes so that the overhead of creating the cache the first time is negated.. but the result is still the same…
