I always thought that WP is only for blogging. Its good to know that it can also be used to make a community based site.

I have a Dolphin Community which I’ve been successfully running for a year. But over the last week the server company I’m with had a serious problem causing my site to get just about “trashed”. Now they don’t want anything to do with Dolphin which means I have to find alternate hosting. So I’m considering re-starting using WP – good idea? I’m only just starting with WP so knowledge is thin, I have a VPS server account elsewhere which would support it I asume? Anyway any help would be most gratefull. IAN

WordPress is a publishing software for ever.

If building community, Drupal is better.

It is a great plugin set which offers me a way to transform into a social blogging platform but not fork out 299usd for a license to a paid script. One thing is definetely true wp mu is not an easy install and you might need some help doing it but there are certainly great benefits
