This blog is a great resource, and attracts very helpful comments too – not the ‘drive-by’ link-juice pap that you see so often. I like the emphasis you put on tracking. It took me a long time to understand the benefit of constant tracking and tweaking, and I’m still learning its power. All conversion improvements are 100% profit!

I find that I go through cycles, where for a while, I’ll focus on doing more of what I know has been working, and then focusing later on doing more new things that might break new ground. I’m not very good at doing both at one time, so I tend to stick to one type of focus for a few months, and then switch up for a few months. It’s not a perfect blog traffic system, but it works pretty well for me.

How are getting on with increasing traffic from social media? Twitter has been working very well for me, but thats only after about 1 year of tweeting and adding friends. The more followers I get the higher i show up in twitter searches – the rich gets richer hey. Although I could do with some help on facebook

Yes, but it is a qualified traffic when used correctly. You can put a lot of time or you can simply schedule specific time periods to do it quick and effectively.

I have tried Twitter as a traffic source, however I found out that you need to put a lot of efforts into it if you want to get decent traffic.. the CTR is under 1%... even for known bloggers .-= David´s last blog ..Twitter as a traffic generator? =-.
