I've been completely baffled as to why a post I wrote months ago was starting to see a lot of new traffic lately.

Then I got the notification email today about Hanna's question, and there, last October was a CommentLuv link in my comment months ago to the very same article I was getting to traffic for!

I guess Comment Luv links to the post you wrote the same day you comment somewhere, and that's the one that sticks! I'll have to keep that in mind, along with the wonderful advice Alex has given us in this post!

Alex and Comment Luv ROCK!

Hanna, check out http://blogcarnival.com/ It's a place where you can join, essentially, a "round-robin" kind of event. You post an article that you've written, add it to a carnival event (there's generally an event niche for everybody) and everyone else who joined that same event will come take a look at your post. It is assumed you will participate by checking out their posts, too.

As usual, another great traffic boosting tutorial, but you mentioned "Blogcarnivals" towards the end: "Because I have also used my own tutorial and submitted the post to a few Blogcarnivals."

Maybe I missed something but what do you mean by Blogcarnivals?

WOW, sorry for the snafu, I was reading so much I finally commented, but on the wrong post. Kudos. You Can move it or erase it. I'llbe back to comment more. I liked this post a lot too. I reminds me that I might actually be focusing on too many keywords sometimes, as there are so many ways to maximize the traffic for each one.
Thanks

(head held down)...
I came here so that I could take advantage of your lovely backlink providing comment plugin, but as I get to post number 3, an looking forward to getting the coveted no follow attribute removed, I can't stop reading. you have a really good blog here. It reads like the best of the best. I "revisited" some things that I had long since forgotten. I love Blog Carnival, but have not used it since I had a money blog that I got rid of a few years back. It was a great traffic generator. I have since worked on some projects that (don't even ask), that the people I did them for wanted "no duplicate content". I know, I know, I never could get them to understand what duplicate content really was, but alas.

What I am working on now is my own thing, and I went back to the site after reading your post, but it has been so long I do not know my pass or email address. lol. I can't wait to get the backlinks from them again. Using Firefox extensions to find do follow PR4 blogs gets old. ;) Glad to be here today. Read more than I wrote, and that is a blessing.

Tim
