6 Proven And Really Fast Ways To Find Guest Blogging Opportunities
Guest blogging has become one of the most profitable ways to grow your business online.
With the “end” of article directories like EzineArticles, GoArticles, which cannot provide you with any sufficient traffic, you need to look for other opportunities online.
Guest posting is one of the opportunities.
It’s an amazing way to get quality links back to your website. Anyone knows how daunting it can be to find ways to get high PR backlinks.
Well, guest blogging can make your job a lot more easier and predictable.
The other important aspect of guest blogging is that you can build relationships with it. Building relationships online is one of the keys to success.
Also, if you desperately just want to get more traffic to your website, then guest posting is one of the best ways to do it.
1. Using Google
Obviously, the first thing that comes to your mind is Google. And, really, Google is so easy to use to find guest blogging opportunities.
The only thing you need to know are some search strings:
- “keyword” + inurl:guest post
- “keyword” + intitle:”write for us”
- “keyword” + intitle:”contribute”
- “keyword” + intitle:”guest contributor”
- “keyword” + intitle:”become an author”
- “keyword” + intitle:”become a guest blogger”
- “keyword” + intitle:”add content”
- “keyword” + intitle:”guest post guidelines”
The way how these little search strings work is simple. Just replace the word keyword with the niche or topic you want to write on.
If you were in the “fitness” niche, then you would simply replace the “keyword” and get, for example, “fitness” + intitle:”guest post guidelines”.
Using Google is probably the fastest and easiest way to get some quick guest blogging opportunities.
2. The Ultimate Rankings
If you are anything like me, then you’ll always want some kind of a list.
For those people who are involved in any of these niches – affiliate marketing, blogging, copywriting, internet marketing, link building, make money online, SEO/SEM, Social Media – here’s a compilation of many blogs:

3. Other Lists Of Top Blogs
Here’s another list of blogs you could use to your advantage:

Those are considered the blogs which make the most money online.

4. Look At Those Comments!
Have you ever read some popular blogs about “blogging”, “make money online”, “internet marketing”, “weight loss”, “PC hardware”, “personal development”, whatever.
I bet you have, or else you wouldn’t have found this article.
OK, but what is important is that you look at those comments. There’s a very obvious similarity among all the top blogs.
It is – on most big blogs there is a certain group of people who comment regularly and have a picture, and have their own blog.
You could easily use their comments to search for new guest posting opportunities. You do it simply by visiting his/her website clicking the link above the comment.
There are many people who regularly comment on other blogs which they read frequently and most importantly do guest posts themselves.
5. Facebook And Twitter
It seems like most people who go online either visit and spend all their time on YouTube or Facebook, or Twitter.
Not really the best way how to use your time if you are an entrepreneur, but why not use this statistic to our advantage?
If you’re doing Facebook or Twitter a lot, then it’s a no-brainer to watch out for some guest posting opportunities.
You could just ask for it. Yeah, just ask.
If you have friends involved in blogging, that’s ideal. But, maybe they have some other friends who are involved in blogging?
If you dig deep enough, you can find the gold.
When you find someone, shoot an e-mail to them telling that you’re interested in a particular topic and have some knowledge in it, and want to write a great guest post for them.
The rule is simple: “The better the relationship with the webmaster, the more you’ll get your guest posts live on his/her blog”.
Also, don’t forget to simply put into the Twitter search bar these keywords:
- “guest blogger”
- “guest post”
- “blog for us”
- “writers needed”
- “write for us”
These people are already accepting guest posts and most likely actively looking for new writers. You have a greater chance to get accepted by them.
6. Craigslist
There are many ways you could utilize Craigslist while growing your business. But why not use it to get new guest posting opportunities?
Many webmasters are already looking for people who can write quality stuff for their website.
The twist is that you could approach them instead.
Ask them if they would like to receive some free articles from you on condition that they link back to your own website.
Tell them why you’re an authority or expert in your field and how much their readers will like your guest post. Just try to make yourself stand out from all the rest of people competing with you for the guest post or article.
Of course, you could also write an ad to showcase your guest blogging capabilities. Or you could simply offer your services as a guest blogging author interested in particular topics.

Very interesting post about guest blogging, Alex. Even though I rarely use Craigslist for anything, I’m starting to see that Craigslist is a hidden gem when applying strategies for marketing online. Will have to had this to my own arsenal. Great post…thanks!
Craigslist can be used for so many things – we overlook its potential way too often, me including.
Nice tips Alex! There are also several site like MyBlogGuest that hook up guest posters with blog owners looking for free content.
Thanks Tory,
Appreciate the tip, I think many might find it useful. On my blog I actually have no issues finding guest bloggers
I often wondered how my small blog which on get a handful of visitors has so many people email me and ask to be a guest poster. I have just done some tests with a variation of
“keyword” + intitle:”write for us”
Where keyword is something my blog is associated with and I come up, I now know how they find me and how I can find some options to explore.

The Craigslist part was a surprise! Didn’t expect that. I appreciate your link about the fifty blogs that accept guest posts. I guess that should be sufficient to keep bloggers in that niche busy for a while…
I was not expecting the Craiglist one. I think apart from finding the opportunity to guest post, it is important to market your own articles, you cannot hope that people will accept your articles if you are giving them low quality articles. You have to offer them something substantially different from what others are offering.

Hey Alex,
That’s a truly great list of tips and advice you’ve put together. I agree that guest blogging is one of the best ways to get authority links but, sadly, it’s not something that’s scalable in the same way as viral marketing. Anyway, regardless, excellent post.
Great list Alex! Guest blogging is really a big opportunity for future writers. These list will be very useful for them.
