I agree that most social networks are too broad. I can see enormous potential with both of these networks. Thanks for sharing.

I am very excited to read this post. I agree that most social networks are too broad. Kind of like a club based on interest. While they might not deliver same results as Digg in terms of immediate traffic - they have a chance to do wonders in terms of helping you develop relationships with right people.I guess what I'm saying is - look at those not as traffic generator but as a private party where you get to meet the people you need to develop your business :DAlex

Roque,

That is why I think importance of highly targeted networks will grow. Some you have to pay for like Direct Matches and some of the others. I belong to a few blogging communities and then communities such as Sphinn and Digg. Digg did not start out being very social at all and now it seems like they are even trying to get their members to interact more.
I guess you have to due your due dilligance when searching for a social networking site that you feel comfortable with if you are looking for a community to be a part of.
Who really has time to socialize? Who really has time to read all the email you might get sent? Who really has time to participate in the forums or other information exchange areas?
Since our time is limited my suggestion is to search for the networking sites that will help with your objectives. Once you find the ones that you are happy with then make the time to get established there, just like getting established on a forum.
Having a community of people you can relate to and exchange ideas with is great. We don't often find this with co-workers or family.
Thanks for taking the time to keep us up to date on these trends Alex.rocquesbiz.info/blog
