  • FormattingDo NOT copy and paste directly from MS Office. I will reject any submissions that have MS Office formatting in it due to the mess that code creates on the blog. Use the Editor provided with Guest Post submission form to format your article appropriately.

Can I submit one of my articles that I posted at my site?

    • TheSpotter says:

First of all – I edited your name and removed your keywords from these, so I could answer your question.

One of the requirements – Unique content. Please see guidelines above.

    Hi Alex…

    This is a great opportunity.

Does all content need to be written or can we do video content also.

    • TheSpotter says:

      Hey Joe!

I see your tool works wonders 🙂 Just seconds after blog post was published you are making comment. If you want to publish video, you will still have to submit minimum text (350 words) and include the direct URL to Youtube video or one of the other services that WordPress now supports for direct conversion. If not converted on its own – I’ll make sure it will be!

Hey Alex. This is great, thanks for giving your readers this opportunity. One question, I tried to submit but received a message saying “Submission limit active. Next submission opportunity is in around x hour(s).” How does this work? Do I just keep checking in to see if it is ready?

Is this offer still available? I don’t sell anything. I just blog about webcamming. I can write a really good article on the history of web cams if anyone would be interested in that type of subject matter? I have some cool links to the oldest running cams too.

Can you get back to me and tell me if this would be something your readers would be interested in?

    Hi Alex,

For some reason my comment never showed up here. I had submitted a guest post a while ago. I haven’t had any updates about when it would be published. Did you get it?

    • TheSpotter says:

Your blog post had whole bunch of M$ Word formatting, I emailed and requested that you fix it and deleted it after it wasn’t done for a while. Unfortunately I get a few guest blog posts submissions that fail to follow simple guideline I have outlined in Guest Posting. I do my best to contact author and then delete the post if still not fixed. Time is precious.

      • Alan Mater says:

        Hi Alex,

I apologize for that. I don’t know why it would have had MS formatting when I pasted from a text file. Also, I never received your email requesting I change it. Sorry about that. I understand your time is precious, as is mine. I will re-submit the article, and hopefully it looks proper this time.

  9. Hi, Alex!!

First I would like to thank you for the tips i have applied to increase my load speed for my blog. I have reduce the load time from 3.92s to 1.0s.
I still have some error on page but I will continue searching until I find that error.

Second I would like to take advantage of this great opportunity you are giving us to be a Guest Blogger. I hope my article can be taking into account to be published because right now I’m trying to make my way to Google No.1 page for my Mobile Monopoly Web Marketing strategies and I’m pretty sure this opportunity will help me a lot to get there.

I was hoping to contribute to your SEO blog. I’ve been reading it and I’ve really enjoyed a number of your recent posts.

Also, I think that your blog is a perfect spot for me to try to gain more exposure for a website and company that I help to run and maintain, which can be found at

I have much experience in the fields of SEO, Web Development, PPC campaigns, and overall Internet Marketing. I have worked with a few different Internet Marketing Companies, and have also helped a few local businesses achieve online success in the SERPs – bringing them from point A to point Z.

The article I would write for you would of course be 100% unique and never sold or distributed anywhere else, as well as highly valuable to your readers.

Here is a very recent example of my writing:

If you would like to review a post from me, or here a few ideas I have for a post please let me know.

    Kind Regards,

Hi, this is for you, not for publication. Great post, and here are some suggestions for you:

    1. Get someone to proofread your key posts, such as when you are specifically writing about writing.

    a. The phrase “confirm to the rule” should read “conform to the rule.”

    b. The phrase “you image” should read “your image.” You got it right in the following sentence so you know what you are doing.

    c. If you have no one who can proofread (ideally in person with the two of you in the same room), then print out your post, get a pen, read your post out loud, and make your changes. It is amazing what we can “hear” that we cannot “see.”

    2. Consolidate topics. For example, Relevant Content, Unique and Exclusive Content, and Common Sense Rule should all be together.

    3. Make sure that the expressions you choose actually communicate your point.

    a. Generic Terms. For example, Common Sense Rule is so generic as to be nearly misleading.

    b. Ambiguous Terms. Another example is “if your article fits the conversation topic” — did you mean “conversational,” which would refer more to the tone than the content or meat of an article? Or by “conversation topic” did you mean content, that is, categories?

    4. Ensure you complete your thoughts.

    5. Avoid jargon that may be beyond the expertise of your target audience. This is something you yourself pointed out! As an example, “SEO’d anchor tags” tells me nothing.

PS I LOVE testing themes and plugins, and gave all my friends and relatives a domain name and blog, all of which I am hosting, and some of whom are actually working on their new blogs (some aren’t) for Christmas in 2011.
