<description>OK my last comment got eaten by hitting an &quot;Internal 500&quot; error after submitting. I&#039;m not having a lotta luck here, lets try again...

After plenty of teetering I definitely have a plan, found my niche and consistently moving forward.

It should be noted that &quot;make buckets of money&quot; is not a plan. How many times have ya heard that LOL

Thanks for the link!

<description>I view my blog as a magazine. I pick a particular topic in my niche and blog about it for one month following a publishing schedule that includes utility posts, featured posts and presell posts. And yes, I monetize my blog. Just like magazines have ads, so do I... although I make sure there is more high-quality content than advertising.

		<description>Doug,

Yep, that would be good start. Build a list, offer your blog visitors to subscribe. Build trust and in time your recommendations begin to matter. In my example - each recommendation done through this blog or email is something i have actually tested. Once people begin to trust you that you have done the work - seen the product, tested it and think it fits their needs… many will act.

After all - recommendations are just another service you provide, time saving service!

<description>This is something I&#039;ve been thinking a lot about lately myself.

My challenge is I know I want to blog to brand myself, but eventually selling products (my own or affiliate) is something I&#039;d like to keep open down the road too.

I guess this can be accomplished through other blogs, etc.

Doesn&#039;t anyone else have face a similar issue?? For example, you may want to brand yourself as an authority, but how do you take that identity and go and sell an affiliate product? I&#039;m guess in order to be congruent, you&#039;d have to make sure to sell products that you&#039;ve tried and truly believe will help your readers/clients..

What do yall think?
