Writers block seems to be one of the top killers of blogs, up there with lack of traffic, loss of motivation, and no money made. I hate it when it happens to me.

I talk to fellow bloggers to try and alleviate my writers block, and it generally helps. That's where I get some great post ideas.

There are tons of ways to find good ideas...emails, other blogs (in and out of your niche), news sites, a you mentioned above, etc.

My best advice - when you have extra time here and there, you should *collect* ideas...creating yourself a "post arsenal". Eventually you could easily have hundreds of posts ready to go at a moments notice :-)

@ Barbara: LOL, what a great idea. Loved your clam bathing idea. Whatever is next? :-) I didn't know that about Twitter. Some wonderful and magical things are possible thanks to the Internet these days.

Another great way to beat writers block is to simply search for your niche in Google News and see what's the latest and greatest developments. Sometimes you'll become quite inspired (for example, I just read at QuickOnlineTips.com that Twitter can now be used to turn on and off lights. If I had a blog about, oh, hmmm, raising clams in my bathtub, I could neatly segue from that to "My Ideal Invention - Using Twitter To Tell Me When My Clams Need a Fresh Bath."

It's amazing with what the mind will come up once you give yourself permission to be quite silly. :)

Enjoy, Barbara
