Good riddance to blogrush :)

Of course, I'm one of those folks that they turned down, so you could say I'm just bitter. I just didn't like the arbitrary judgement. "Not enough original content", but no mention of why 200+ pages of it wasn't enough.

Copyblogger is a great blog. It always amazes me just how the blogging community has exploded over the last few years, who would have thought that wordpress would be so popular!

Some of those posts from the other blogs are very interesting.
Thanks for the reference to the StumbleUpon mathematics. I had made a small effort to play with StumbleUpon, and never really understood how it worked. The "new clothes" post is interesting as well, I'm particularly interested in the "How Similar are You" widget. That's a concept that would work on of my websites that has a lot of interaction between users.

Clement,

I don't think you should feel bad about referring. I did too and I fell good about it. When it launched it had a big hopes since John Reese was behind it and good promise. Idea was solid but as it happens sometimes - it failed. Just move on with the next thing. In 2.0 web it is hard to predict what will work and what will fail and recommending something that you personally feel good about at the time is normal because early adopter get rewarded.

Just think about it this way - if BlogRush was as successful as it was promised - your friends would be greatfull to you!

Good to hear that BlogRush has finally folded. I also saw this one coming from long time. I removed their widget early this year and I regret asking my friends to join it as they will not fully trust me next time, I tell them that a new exciting online service has been introduced. One thing that I hated most in the whole BlogRush issue is that its referral system was bound to benefit high profile bloggers only and I lamented about this on my blog.
