I haven’t posted in a while due to complete overload but I still want to find the time and provide some info I personally found useful. If I’m unable to write a comprehensive piece of information – I will provide you with access to those who could!

• Tim Nash talks about “Social Bites – Like Sound Bites But Different” . Great info on how to properly structure your quick communications over the social media. In this fast paced medium you have to be able to deliver your message clear, concise and make it actionable. Great post I recommend you read!

• Jack Humphrey outlines importance of lists in “10 Reasons Why Lists Are a Blogging Mainstay“. Tip: don’t know what to write about – make a LIST! And if not sure why you should make a list – read this post by Jack!

• “Tips For Ranking Higher On and With YouTube” from WebProNews should help get more out of your videos on YouTube. It is very important promotional tool and this article explains how you can make it work for you.

• And last but not least – 10 Ways to get Fit WHILE Blogging by Darren Rowse is a nice reminder for all of us to not get lazy! I know I’m guilty of it.

One of the biggest gripes I (as well as many others) have with Youtube is their piss poor quality of the videos. Problem is – not using Youtube is only hurting one person, Me. There is absolutely no denying the fact that Youtube is one of the most trafficked sites on the internet and not using its power to get at least a trickle of fresh visitors to my blog is an obvious loss.

So how does one overcome the poor quality of the video or perhaps even use it to the advantage and get some traffic to a blog? With video marketing being one of the goals for me this year I think I found an answer to the question and that is exactly what I’m going to share

Youtube is popular and fun and if you vlog – can be a great source of traffic assuming you are creating your own videos. But using it exclusively you are actually doing yourself a great disservice!

Ditch that dump and use something better on your vlog! And no, I don’t mean not to use it at all but simply using it in combination with a more superior service, which creates a lot higher quality videos and Pays You!

Perhaps it will not be a huge discovery to anyone using Wordpress for while but if it helps even one single person I will consider my mission accomplished.

Videos add great value and interaction to your Web 2.0 blog but it might not be as easy as I have discovered yesterday. New version of [tag-tec]Wordpress[/tag-tec] includes 2 tabs in create new post or page area with one of them being the “Code” tab. Youtube provides you with a complete html code to embed it on your site and to me it seemed like logical step to simply click on Code tab, add the html for video and then save post.

As I have discovered yesterday – it don’t work that way. So here is a simple 2-steps process to add [tag-tec]Youtube[/tag-tec] [tag-tec]video[/tag-tec] to your Wordpress blog.
