Last couple weeks been a bit tough and perhaps you have noticed it with the rather apparent lack of posts on my blog. My partner and I have run into some issues with our new product Review Blogs and been quite busy taken care of it.

Lessons learned as result but we are back in business and best of all – we ensured that none of our custoemrs were or will be impacted as result of our mistake. The issue was made transparent to the customers and we did everything in our power to make it so. So, if you haven’t grabbed the Review Blogs Theme or the System – time is great to do it now! Actually not entirely, but I do admit that the lure of the social networks have all but fizzled into haphazard interest at best. I was trying to come to terms why I have failed to post to Twitter, answer all my Facebook contact requests, post reply comments to my YouTube videos and join yet another group on MySpace.

To be honest, I’ve reached social networking burn out. Why can’t we go back to the old times when we had barely a handful of these sites to content with? I mean, every time I switch on my computer I find yet another one of these sites as if they multiply all by themselves.

Sometimes I wonder whether there are still enough people on the Internet to populate these upcoming sites to make them work? Naturally there must be, since they pop up like new mushrooms after spring rain. Or is this some type of modern slavery, trying to suck us into joining these sites, tumble, spin and wash us around, only to kick us out at the other end when we fail to participate on a daily basis. I mean, who in the world has got the time to be a member of all the cool networking sites? You’d have to be a full time networker to make the most and even then you’d fail miserably.

So, to ask the real question: what is the purpose of these social networks?

Facebook is one of the most popular Social Networks and quickly becoming a an interaction hub for great many people I personally know and work with. What have started as a college students network have grown into one of the most useful tools you can have for communication and for locating new people with similar to you interests.

But while standalone Facebook portal provides you with plenty options – its interactivity and usefulness factor greatly multiplied through the usage of the Apps provided by other developers.
