Comprehensive Guides To Blog Search Engine Optimization

In this quick post I simply want to share couple great resources for any blogger interested to improve their blog Search Engine Position by a notch or two (and show me who isn’t) ….

  • The Blogger’s Guide to SEO - by Aaron & Giovanna Wall. While more advanced bloggers might not discovered too much new in this guide I personally like it as a reference material. Written by a well recognized blogger this guide provides all the major steps you need to cover with your blog in a very convenient format.
  • WordPress SEO Masterclass For Competitive Niches by Andy Beard in my opinion is a lot more advanced guide that takes one site and walks through improving its rank. Andy does a great job in this post covering multiple linking strategy that are very advanced and provides you with a great tools freely available to make your own calculations. This is one of the most in depth blog SE optimization articles I have see in a while and a great read.

That’s it for now …

Game MyBlogLog Contest And Be Rewarded

A few days ago MyBlogLog has announced a contest with an offer of the prize. Rules were simple - get most community members during a specific time period and get some rewards. Honestly I didn’t even pay much attention to exact rewards offered as I was viewing this contest as a simple means of increasing visibility of my own community.

I’m hoping to gain people who are actually interested to read my blog and perhaps participate in discussions here. Well, apparently some bloggers have taken this Contest very seriously and what I’m seeing now is that communities directly offering rewards for joining community are moving fast to the top and they do it legally!

To me this is equal to invitation: “Game MyBlogLog Contests And Be Rewarded!

Is Your Blog Ready For “Fine Dining” Or Will It Become “Fast Food Joint”?

This weekend I had to answer some questions for an interview by Carlo Selorio and one of them made me think. Not that it was unusual but it was operating outside of the realm of conscious decisions and logical choices…

“What inspires you?”

… or something to that effect. As a blogger sometimes I find inspirations in most unusual locations and today I want to run a parallel inspired by my family’s dining out experience this weekend. One question got stuck in my mind …

Decluttering Trend Infects Blogosphere?

In getting my daily doze of news around [tag-tec]blogosphere[/tag-tec] I have run more then once into posts that discuss one simple subject - Decluttering Your Blog. And while I agree with many statements I have certain reservation when it comes to the subject and more think about balance then purity.

And with many visible bloggers talking about it somehow I feel it might begin to spread like an infection and reduce certain social aspects of the blogs

BloggingZoom is a hot new comer to social networking scene that allows bloggers exchange traffic by presenting their content in relevant location. While it doesn’t perform same function like BlogRush does its promise is similar and end result expected by many is also one and only - more traffic.

And now I’m making an official declaration after a few days of using it:

What Is Rocking Blogosphere?

What I love about blogs the most is ability of people behind the writing to produce content that beats anything you can locate in your local news and information found in Blogosphere in many cases more accurate and to the point, without trying to soften the blow.

In this post I simply want to share some great finds from this past weekend that captured my attention and forced me to take some action to either benefit from it directly or by simply storing the knowledge away for later use …
