Yeah, I agree on Technorati, I actually removed their tags from my posts as my stats showed that I simply get no more traffic from them, so it became irrelevant to me.

In the past few month I noted that Technorati is loosing some of their attractiveness as traffic source and well maintained directory . Which is a pity as they had the head start and could have really sustained their status of a leader in the content indexing .I tend to agree with the statement on Twitter – I have been using it since they first started with Odeo and the service grew immense in terms of functionality thanks much to its creative user base. However one had to post interesting staff – or at least anything else than just self promotion in order to gain some benefits out of Twitter.And then again guest posting – even if I am rather new to this as a guest author myself ( there are various articles written by guest authors at my blog ) I agree that its a very effective way to showcase your skills and interest to a different audience. The social bookmark sites usually help in addition to in-house SEO in terms of optimizing the titles of your articles , the alt tags ..etc.

Well, as mentioned in an earlier comment elsewhere, we get decent amount of traffic from Twitter (via our over 34,000 followers).

But, I’m yet to go full-throttle as far as Technorati goes. We have a profile there. That’s it.

Some tips on how exactly we can market our blogs on Technorati would be highly appreciated.

I find it very difficult to market my blog, i think thats mostly because i am in a competetive niche (men’s magazine) also I found digg a waste of time and is full of anal people that just want to get apple or barack obama on the front page, i get a few visits from twitter and stumble but nothing to shout about, I dont know where people are getting there traffic from but really its such hard work for me to even get 100 visits a day let alone the thousands people claim. my blog is just over 5 months old.

I get most pf my traffic directly, from links on major blogs and from guest posting, everything else seems like too much effort for little results.
