I just finished reading an article on Yanik Silver’s blog and simply had to spread the message shared within. the video provided below nails the core issue we are seeing day in and day out and one that has a potential of turning this beautiful country into a socialists outpost!

Sorry, I’ve been there and I feel this video is a MUST see!

Hmm – I don’t know whether it is that bad. Here in Austria people earning money are not deamonized but mostly looked up to…

The problem is not with entrepreneurs. The problem is with companies that get big and then use their size and clout to bribe legislators in all branches of government to do their bidding.

Let’s see … who wrote the Medicare Prescription Bill? Why – SURPRISE- it was the lobbyists for the pharmaceutical companies … hmmm!

Let’s see … who promised that if they were allowed to merge, prices would go down and service would be great? Why – SURPRISE- the phone companies … hmmm!

Let’s see … who gets the contracts to do construction work on roads and other “civic improvements”? Why – SURPRISE – the mayor’s buddies … hmmm!

Let’s see … a guy comes up with an idea for a product or service and sets up a business … then a big company with deep pockets wants in on the action because there’s REALLY a market for it … and so they steal the idea and take the guy to court with high-priced lawyers whom he can’t compete against and so he goes under and the big guy wins … hmmm!

Let’s see … commodities traders don’t want to be limited in the amount of money they can earn so in the dead of night they attach an amendment to a bill that exempts oil from being regulated by the CFTC and instead is “regulated” by some patsy outfit in England … they make a ton and the world economy suffers … hmmm.

I could go on and on, but my point is that the bigger they are the greedier they get. Entrepreneurs – YES! Big Business scammers and greed mongers – a DEFINITE NO!!!

      Nick,
Your observations are correct but you didn’t follow it far enough IMHO. Why do such businesses pursue “political manipulation” as part of their strategy? Because the Federal Government has gone so far beyond their Constitutional Powers to “regulate” and both punish and reward in a selective manner and the government has access to our pockets to use for those rewards. If the Constitutional restrictions on the powers of the Federal Government were even remotely followed, the Federal Government wouldn’t have the power to selectively regulate and reward and punish (nor the power to pick our pockets to use for such purposes)and businesses would compete only in the marketplace and would eschew lobbying!

So, yes, the “sins” you report really do occur, but their ultimate cause is the politicians who distort government and without whose interference with the market those “big” businesses would have to become far more competitive because they’d always be under the threat that a newer, smaller – much more nimble business could easily take their customers away!

In short, freedom isn’t the problem – it’s the solution!!

I agree with you – OH HOW I AGREE WITH YOU! We have the best government money can buy. All of this B.S. that they’re spewing out because they want to be re-elected make me want to barf, because once they get back in office they’ll forget what they promised the voters and have their hands out for the PACs to do their dirt.

Democrats or Republicans 0 they’re both the same. Maybe we should call them Demopublicans and Republicrats.
