I have about 5 ongoing projects I work on. I have spent so much time running around in circles trying to decide what to work on and what to do when I finally figure out which project to focus on that I don’t end up getting anything done.

I finally decided to break it all down to the lowest common denominator of my business. Those money making activities.

They are the same for all my projects.

I then decided to give each project a day of the week.

Now I know what project I’m supposed to be working on and because I did some thinking I know exactly what money making activities I need to focus on during the day.

It has helped immensely! I am seeing an increase in traffic, and money, and have found more time to spend with my family, instead of feeling like the work is never done!

Well, just this weekend I sat down and reevaluated my steps in creating my bi-lingual online presence. This after pulling a self-imposed 48-hour stint setting up and correcting stuff. At the end, I sat down at the pool to tan and rest, but my brain wouldn’t shut off. I kept hearing “you’ve got to analyze and begin to focus on money making stuff. All this building stuff, learning stuff, etc. needs to see some fruit.” So I sat down and made a list of things I need/want to accomplish yet and put a symbol next to each one.

First one–money making activities like lead generation (*)
Next–maintenance (fixing, adding) to sites (M)
Followed by outsourcing (O). Just had to be realistic and although I can put sites together myself, this has proven to be my biggest stumbling block.

My brain finally shut off, I rested, enjoyed time with neighbors and today your message has strengthened my resolve. Today my first activity online was to send some viral marketing info to contacts in my address book. The second activity was to how to fix a minor problem on the server and afterward contact someone about doing one of my projects for me.
