Hi! you are right that social bookmarking in the right categories can give a lot of traffic as well as a lot of backlinks. The problem is that traffic coming from social sites are always in a hurry so I prefer search engine traffic but I also use social bookmarking quiet extensively to get traffic. I use some of the free semi-automatic tools to bookmark my post but I am going to check Auto Social Poster - it seems to be a better one (may it cost not too high). Keep up your good work. Social traffic by virtue of your content on your blog also increases the chances of someone linking to you. If your content is relevant, useful and practical to another blogger or site, theres a good chance someone may refer your link to a post or page on their site that strengthens or enhances their niche. Social traffic is one of the best if you do it right. If you try to pitch “make money blogging” post to people who are looking for info on “dog breed” you will fail – guaranteed! but if you manage to connect and become part of the right group – you get a good chance of viral traffic.

So I think social traffic should absolutely be part of your strategies just be aware of how you do it.
