What a generous resource. I believe that a lot of newbie bloggers will definitely benefit from this post.

As for me, I start with appropriate keyword research, just like what is included in the first few items you have mentioned. This is applicable even if you already have some target keywords in mind. For this purpose, I use Market Samurai and the Free Google Keyword tool. Using one of these tools, identify ten to twenty keywords and then do some on page optimization to your website or blog. Build links to these pages and monitor the progress using Google Analytics.

Then using Google Analytics account, look for keywords that are driving traffic to your website. These are keywords that are on page one but not yet in position number one. Use these KWs in your future link building efforts.

Last but not the least, is doing some analysis. Check if the words that you are ranking for are high converting keywords. We use authoritylabs.com to find out where we’re ranking, then the SEO competition tab in Market Samurai to find out what the competition is doing.

I liked the point of “Traffic Generation”. SEO, Link building and commenting is very important. Social Networking can also prove to be very useful at times. And last but not the least, SEO. If articles are properly SEO’d then we can get a lot of traffic. Bottomline is good, unique and useful content.
