Hi have had the message come up for a weke now and found out it is the google toolbar at the top of the bar so go to tools addons and click uninstall google toolbar than make sure that you restart the firefox document than the addon will be gone and so will the error message hope this helps guys

Hank was correct for my situation, I had to do a system restore yesterday, which forced Norton to update it’s files to work again, after that, this error began happening to me as well
Disabling the Norton add-ons fixed the problem for me.

I don’t even have google toolbar active and can’t find it in addons to turn off or in programs to uninstall and I keep getting that stupid popup.

I thought you were really on to something, Hank, since this infamous error message seemed to appear right after I installed Norton. But,alas, I dumped Norton & still get this annoying message. Any other ideas?

Man I’m so glad I found this!! I got a new computer yesterday and I have had this problem driving me crazy for 2 days. I’m debating on removing them because I like the PR option in there toolbar. Guess I’ll have to deal with it as long as I can.=) Thanks for posting this, now I know in case I want to remove it later.
