It could also be a time issue. I had the same message appearing on attempting to browse sites that offered a certificate. Noticed that the time was wrong on the PC. Fixed it & message went away immediately.

I recently had this problem on firefox with an old laptop I hadn’t used in a while, but it was caused by the system clock being a couple years off (said 2004 though its now 2012), and once I changed the system clock it stopped popping up.

When i open my firefox page i get the message “The url is not valid and cannot be loaded. The whole screen is blank, only the toolbars on top i can see. I use windows xp. I am not a boffin with computers. Can anyone please give me an easy, step by step answer?

Its a great pleasure to give you a tip @ how you can solve your problem. I was having such a problem, and solved it by checking my date is correct or not. just check your date on your system maybe it is counting on wrong year.

i havent downloaded any addons & its saying “url not valid and conot be loaded”, when i try to login to: facebook, yahoo, ect. how do i fix it? i just got this computer.

this problem of URL can not be loaded, sometimes to fix it just check your time is correct or not and where you are (Time Zone), then you will enjoy yhe rest.

hey guys this is simple problem that occur because of the change in time or date in ur system

first check weather ur system time and date are correct

Then restart ur Mozilla Firefox

go to help and click the restart with add ons disable

then start working well

this was the simple error

Seems like a lot of you guys had the same problem and the solutions were various.

I’m writting this message cause i found a different solution after i tried everything from here. Apparently my problem was the “wrapper” Joomla Module.

” So I tried using Internet Explorer on my site, and I got a blank page, but curiously enough, the URL shown was just http:///

Now I don’t know why this is, but there is a fix for this. It has something to do with Joomla’s wrapper module. the fix is to go into the Module Manager then open up wrapper. On the right side in the Parameter column there is an item called URL: just put in your web address, and save. In my case, I put in http://www.mikestechblog.com You would put in the URL for your site.

That should fix this problem.”

I acctually didn’t put my URL there, i unpublished the module. Now everything works perfect.
