I had every intention of making this post part of my WordPress Guide series and even begun getting the information together. I always look at security of every “internet facing” application or service as integral part of the design and not something to be addressed later and was going to cover some basics here.

But basics have been covered in multiple posts by multiple bloggers and to make this post stand out - I would have to make it better. Now, that is quite a bit of work Laughing unless there is a better solution!

Fixing Brians Threaded Comments Plugin

Brians Threaded Comments Plugin is perhaps the most popular among the WordPress blog users due to functionality it provides and a huge enhancement to standard comments system that comes with WordPress. Problem is - the plugin is Not Well Supported and has quite a few bugs.

Well fear not - I have spent a few hours of researching, fixing and testing and want to present you with resulting file. Now you too can have Brians Threaded Comments on your blog, minus all the issues…

WordPress 2.5 Is Coming

I have a Love and Hate relashionship with WordPress. I love the functionality and extendability it provides and hate how often it changes. I do welcome the improvements but the guys behind the core need to slow down. It was actually nice not to have to upgrade for a couple of months due to a break they took.

Well, WordPress 2.5 is scheduled to be released on March 10 and from what I have seen it has some huge changes on Admin backend…

Using FeedBurner PRO Stats? Give Your Blog HUGE Speed Boost!

I’m a Stats Junkie! I track a multitude of the variables on my blog and use them to determine effectiveness of my blog posts, my readership and structure my Blog Design and Marketing Strategies based on what I learn. I have to admit that sometime I think I spend too much time on these tasks but hey - it beats the Guesswork!

Since multiple stats packages present us with a slightly different information I tend to use each one for a very specific tasks and performance evaluation. But implementing all the tracking introduces tremendous extra load times to our blogs and in this post I will share how an implementation of ONE plugin decreased loading speed of my blog 10 times!
