Note: the “-protected” means that it’s not restricted to edit wikispaces pages; “-inurl:tag” means that you want search results which contain the keyword in the url/title tag/ description; “site: wikispaces.com” – you want to show only results inside the Wikispaces.com domain.

3. After you put this code into the Google’s search bar, you should get some cool wikispaces.

On this day, when I’m writing this article, I get a 3rd search result:

“acaiberryyz – home

acaiberryyz.wikispaces.com/

23 Jul 2011 – Who else wishes to uncover genuine acai berry reviews that are not ripoffs, fakes or hoaxes? If you are something like the large vast …”

4. When you’ve clicked on the 3rd result, you should see the http://acaiberryyz.wikispaces.com/. This is the text (the article) you want to edit to get those juicy backlinks.

5. Now, there are, obviously, many words contained in the article. So, you create many HTML links too.

It’s easy. Click the “EDIT” tab on the upper right corner. Simply, choose a certain KW (say “acai berry”) and hyperlink it. Anything you like.

6. Damn it! You can even add other words you like, delete it (wouldn’t advise it).

7. You’re done!

See, I Told You It Was Easy

You can get a powerful backlink putting almost NO EFFORT into it.

But, just between us, don’t be too evil.

Don’t delete other person’s content. Okay, you can add something worthy and hyperlink it or hyperlink the existing stuff. Also, be mindful with this strategy.

You want to get max 2 links from one wikispace. Otherwise, it becomes too noticeable.

Just to know: “You don’t harm too much the person in any way doing this “secret” SEO strategy because one or two links don’t mean much (in most cases). Unless you delete the person’s content links, you’re ethical and safe”

M.C. Hammer, the early 90s parachute-pant-wearing rapper now-turned-ordained minister-may very well belt out the old “U Can’t Touch This” to the creators of Google and Bing if his latest business adventure–his own search engine–takes flight. No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you; you read that right. Hammer is now attempting to reform the tech industry.

Earlier this week Hammer announced at the Web 2.0 Summit in California that he is in the midst of developing WireDoo–an “innovative” search engine that is designed to give Google some fierce competition once launched, according to Hammer and his team at least. It’s not his first gamble at tech industries–he is already the co-founder of DanceJam, a social network dedicated to, well, dance.

So what will set WireDoo apart from Google and other search engines? While it’s not the most creative or articulate, WireDoo’s tagline pretty much sums up the whole idea behind the two-year-in the making search engine in one tiny phrase–”Search once and see what’s related.” In other words, users will no longer have to come up with alternative key words when coming up with dead-end results because WireDoo will essentially do the thinking for them–it will provide “deeper” search results by providing “relational” topics. So for example, as Hammer explains to a Web 2.0 correspondent, if a user were to type in a specific zip code in the search engine, not only would basic information pop up such as what zone that zip code covers, but also activities happening in the community as well as list schools and hospitals that reside in that district etc. “If it’s a car … it’s not just about the word ‘car,’ but it’s about insurance, it’s about the specs, it’s about mileage, it’s about style, it’s about all these things. So that’s the way it works,” Hammer said in the Web 2.0 video.

So what does the new concept of “deep searches” and “relational topics/links” really mean for SEO copywriters, specialists and bloggers? No more needing to stress about choosing the exact right key word yes, but Will it make our jobs easier or more difficult? If you’re a blogger, you can produce something brilliant. You can blog to your heart’s content about subjects on which you’re an expert, or comment about things you feel deeply about, or both and more. You can even create a business around your blog. So why don’t more blogs succeed? A lot of them fall flat on their faces, and that includes good blogs by people that try very hard indeed to produce top value content. The reason can be summed up in one phrase- Search Engine Optimization.

If you don’t know how to do good SEO, your blog can struggle on for years not getting the appreciation and exposure it deserves. There’s no real mystery to this situation. The fact is that most blogs have to learn how to get attention and attract users. There are an almost literally infinite ways of “promoting your blog”, and some do work, at least occasionally, but the core focus of anything online happens to be SEO.

The facts are pretty brutal:

For every “put a link to your blog on a forum” tip, about ten million searches are conducted per second, online. The maths are very much against random links.
For every “fill your site with links to other sites” tip, there are about a million search engine rules that won’t like that process. These links are only useful to a point, if at all. Unless links have a direct bearing on a search subject, they’re irrelevant.
Unless you target your content and make it easy for search engines to see good search values in your content, you’re out of the loop in terms of page rankings.
If your blog isn’t based on a whole range of issues relevant to search subjects, you’re not likely to be included in the search results at all.
The “scattergun” type of blog is perhaps the least useful of all for search purposes. These blogs cover anything and everything, and they actually create problems for search rankings. If your blog is about toasters, giraffes, fire hydrants and wildebeest, why would a search engine consider it to have a high value to any of those subjects? (Note: If you have multiple subjects, do multiple blogs, which can clear up the mess for the search engines.)

Sorry to be so unambiguous about these things, but the best description of these situations would be “blog suicide”. Just don’t allow your blog to get into those situations.

When online business owners are trying to generate more business, they come up with ideas to offer a coupon. And, somewhere else in the office building, the team of dedicated SEOs is working hard to try and increase the website’s domain authority by building links. Unfortunately, in many businesses, the two departments don’t work together.

And that puts the business at a great disadvantage. What would happen if the two groups worked together to try and increase business. Many online businesses, such as Island Surf and Navteq, offer coupons. The coupon allows them to increase the amount of money they are bringing in which results in higher profit.

But, coupons are only as good as the people that are finding them. That’s why the two groups should come together to offer a solution that would be even greater for the company. And the way to do that is to offer coupons to entice backlinking.

The basic premise of a back link is that the visitor who found it is so happy and so excited that they want to link back to you. The content is that great or it’s enticing, so naturally, you get linked to. Well, a coupon can have that effect. And it can do more than just get you a link. It can also start getting circulated around the social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook which is increasingly becoming an important metric for search engines.

The problem people run in to is how to encourage people to link. Many would link to the site, but they don’t think to do it when they are looking at the coupon. There are a few things you can do to encourage people to link to you:

Underneath the coupon, put a small box that has the code for a link. Inside, put the URL to the coupon so that people can easily copy and paste it onto their site. This is especially easy if you’ve got bloggers who come to your site.
Put the social media buttons all around the coupon. When they see the coupon, they’ll also see something that says “Share With Your Friends” and they are more likely to show their friends what they are seeing.
Ask them. If you ask them to share with their friends or link to your site, they’re more likely to do it. You’re putting into their mind that they could share it and if they found the coupon useful, they are more likely to pass it around to their readers.

I can already hear some people saying that this is unethical. And I can hear other people saying that Google looks down on this. In no way is it unethical or against Google’s rules. Google says that you can’t offer something in exchange for a link. So, it would be unfair for me to offer someone a coupon only if they added my link to their site.

But, if I make it easier for them to link to me and they can have the coupon regardless, then that’s acceptable. In reality, I’m doing something Google wants. I am creating something that the reader loves so much that they link to. This, in Google’s eyes, demonstrates trust. And trust dictates a site’s power in the SERPs.

So, the next time you release a coupon on your site, think about how it can help you out more than just getting more business. Try and find a way to get some links and social sharing from it. Sometimes, the business you’d get from the extra traffic is a lot better than that one sale. Try it out…You’ll be surprised how successful you are.
