2012 London Olympic Logo – Aim at Web 2.0 Generation Created Scandal

In attempt to generate more interest in upcoming Olympics London organizing committee spent $796.000 to create a flashy logo targeting younger generation. Statement by Lord Coe, the chairman of committee that cost was covered by private sector and doesn’t affect tax payers did little to ward off the scandal around it.

According to Sun “…. Olympics bosses were left squirming with embarrassment after an epilepsy group reported 12 cases of people collapsing through looking at it. Epilepsy Action warned that 23,000 mainly young people in the UK were at risk from the TV and internet version. They suffer from the photosensitive form of epilepsy and flickering images can trigger fits.”

Common people! Are we getting too sensitive? I have to admit that personally I don’t like the logo or the video ad, accompanying it and can’t believe that someone paid nearly a $800K for it but not to the point to protest it! At the moment of this post 40617 people have signed petition to change the logo. Quite a few people assuming that it has been released only couple days ago.

How To Wash A Cat

While this one is perhaps is not a true How To Guide but I have simply found it to be so funny – I had to share it. There is really a two parts to the whole story. First what we got is a YouTube video that you can watch below:

Some people say cats never have to be bathed. They say cats lick themselves clean. They say cats have a special enzyme of some sort in their saliva that works like new, improved Wisk dislodging the dirt where it hides and whisking it away.

How Can I Fix My Cell Phone - It Got Wet!

Most of us are very careful to keep our cell phones dry, and cell phones are generally made to withstand some minor water exposure. The problem comes when you completely immerse a phone in water. At that point, you face the question, “How can I fix my cell phone - it got wet!”

Everyone agrees that the first thing you should do is to remove the battery from your wet cell phone. Once you take the battery out, leave your [tag-tec]phone[/tag-tec] alone. Do not try to turn it on for any reason. Turning on a wet cell phone can easily short circuit the battery and the inner workings of the phone. Once this happens, you will have no choice but to buy a replacement phone.
