With so many positive reviews, there is every reason to switch to Windows 7!

Windows 7, the latest Microsoft Windows Operating System, has been sitting in stores shelves around the country for close to two years, but still some Microsoft users are stubbornly hanging on to Vista and XP. Considering the work that has gone into the new operating system, and the positive reviews it has received, this makes no sense at all. Everyone at Microsoft is using Windows 7 – from the managing directors to the IT support.

So why should you switch to Windows 7? Here are seven reasons:

1.User Feedback

Do you remember Windows Vista? Well, to make a long story short, the new operating system failed to live up to a majority of PC users’ expectations. In the end, most users preferred to forego Vista totally, and have carried on with Windows XP. We all know that blogging is important whether it is for a small business, a big corporation or the individual online marketer that is looking to make a living off his blog. The question is how often to blog. Is there a clear rule for this? Personally I don’t think so and it will all depend on some personal taste and requirements. Below I will list some factors will influence your blogging frequency and I hope that it will help you take the best decision.

Blogging Style

It will all depend on your type of post. If you are more into analysis rather than news reporting, it will require much more time to create a blog post. This mean your readers will be more inclined to accept a well-constructed post even if it is once a week rather than a quick and superfluous covering of a news event. On the other hand if you run a news site your readers will be more interested in getting the news first and regularly. In summary the amount of posts that you make will depend on the type of readers that you have.

Stay consistent

You should stay consistent at all time. If you choose to post, say daily it is important that you stay faithful to this habit. The reason is that your readers will be expecting to find a new post at this appointed time and you wouldn’t want to disappoint them. However you should be ready to increase your blogging frequency in case of a major event. For instance if you run a sport blog we will expect to find an increase in posting during the Olympic Games.

SEO purposes

We all know that fresh content is important for SEO purposes and updating your blog regularly will just encourage the search engines bots to visit your site frequently. At the same time, a blog will allow you to make use of various keywords on your site and go for the long-tail searches. This may lead to a better ranking in the search engine and also increase traffic for your site.

All in all, your blogging frequency will depend on your blogging niche and also on the type of readers that you have. The key here is to make sure that you give your readers what they are looking for. You may try to post a certain number of times and then increase it if you feel there is a demand from your visitors.

Some people are born leaders, whilst others have to work much harder at it. Regardless of whether you are new into management at work, lead a team of Web Warriors, or whether you have just been made the captain of your local football team, these tips should help you become a great leader.

1. Be Confident

Let me clarify that there is a vast difference between being confident and being arrogant. Confidence is a strong belief in your ability to succeed, whilst arrogance is an over the top, often rude and obnoxious quality that will not get you liked. If you want to be a strong leader, having confidence is important, because people need to feel secure, and confident with what their leader is doing.

Any sign of uncertainty will likely unsettle your team. It will make them nervous and unable to perform to the highest standards. Even if you are not feeling 100% confident yourself it is important that you don’t make it obvious to those around you.

This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ask for help and advice, but you shouldn’t come across like a rabbit in the headlights either.

2. Listen

A good leader will also be someone that is a good listener. You must be able to listen to, and understand any problems or worries your team have. Being strong and a good talker is important, but almost secondary when compared to the importance of being able to listen.

3. Be Proactive

Being a good leader will demand that you spot, and deal with problems before they actually happen. As a leader you must be aware of what is going on around you, and try to find potential problems, so you can nip them in the bud before they actually manifest. For example, a manager in a supermarket would need to make sure that floor polishing was done after the store was closed and customers had left, so there were no accidents.

4. Stay Focused

A good leader will always be focused on the job, or task in hand. It is important for everybody around you that you are always aware of what is going on. If anything does go wrong then it will be you that your team turns to, and they will need you to know what is going on.

5. Don’t Lose Your Head

This is by no means easy, but is very important. In a pressured situation, a good leader will remain calm and collected. If you start to panic, or lose your rag then things could rapidly fall apart. Your team are there to support their leader, you, but should not under any circumstances be made to hold things together whilst you throw a hissy fit.

6. Be Decisive

Similar to confidence, being decisive relates to being sure of what you are doing, or instructing your team to do. Half hearted decisions will leave your team feeling unsure or confused. If you are not certain of how to deal with a situation immediately, take some time to think it over first before delivering a firm, decisive course of action.

7. Show Respect

This is quite possibly the most important element needed from a great leader. It is very hard for anyone to respect, or admire someone who is rude, short, and obnoxious. It is vital you treat everybody around you with grace and respect. Leaders that treat people fairly, and generously, are those who people really want to work with, and do well for.

Be outspoken, be hilarious, be grumpy, be different. Whatever it takes to achieve this. Today, it is getting harder and harder to be a unique entity because of the sheer number of people who market online.

Having said this, it isn’t impossible. You can put on your creative hat and start thinking about ways to attract people’s attention without being nasty, aggressive or abusive to them.

I usually avoid watching videos online because they have this habit of stealing essential time during my working hours. Since every Tom, Dick & Harry publishes videos these days it is hard to avoid them. I’m a lover of the visual, I love reading content, rather than watching a video because it keeps me glued to my laptop. But that’s just me…

When I received an invite from a business associate to go and watch Eben Pagan’s latest video training I did – and boy am I glad for doing so. Eben Pagan is one of the shining stars of online marketing, and he beats Frank Kern in the guitar playing stakes any day (sorry Frank). Eben’s # 1 tip – It’s not about you

That’s right. Too many of us focus on ourselves when we market online. We boast about our expertise, our experience and our ability. Scrap that! At the very least take the focus away from YOU, and put it back where it belongs – on the customer.

Eben’s # 2 tip – Provide solutions, not suggestions

Eben says that there is something fundamentally wrong with Internet marketing, because most information products are being created wrong from the ground up. This comes as no surprise to me. It is easy to get sucked up into the “auntie voice,” the voice where we tend to give suggestions because it’s what we are taught by watching others’ do the same. In order to help people we write tutorials, guides, record videos and tell the reader/listener what to do next.

There is nothing wrong by trying to be helpful, but if you want to make money online you need to understand the subtle differences between suggestions and solutions, since one of them is your key to the golden door. If you look around, you will see that most of the information available online is based on people’s suggestions. Rarely do they solve an urgent problem for the reader – this is what’s fundamentally wrong with a lot of information products.

The buying customer usually experiences:

pain
frustration
anger
fear
insecurity
needs
urgency
etc.

By creating your info products with solutions in mind you will see a better ROI for your time.

Aim to become a master solver

In order to really hit the nail on the head fair and square we must aim to become master solvers to a problem that is still present in the world right now. If you can find that niche (think small), a small (in the bigger scheme of things) group of people who is actively seeking answers to their problem you stand to make a lot of money if you focus on solutions.

Why your niche sucks

One of the most obvious reasons your niche site sucks is because you haven’t built it with solutions in mind. I made the same mistake with some of mine and now I realize why they stand idle. I made the mistake of “picking the niche” rather than finding it. It is so IMPORTANT to distinguish between the two ways that it will be the make or break of your online career.

What’s really sad is the fact that I paid thousands of dollars for personalized niche coaching from a well-known marketer who told me to pick a niche. After watching Eben’s FREE videos I know better and will never make that same mistake again. If your niche sites are currently floundering, you owe it to yourself to go and take a look at his videos.

Some bloggers can be a funny breed of people. On my travels across cyberspace I have seen a lot of different personalities. These personalities can often fit into one of the following descriptions below.

The leading blogger

The leading blogger is what many of you refer to as the guru. He is commonly seen as the man/woman with the money and control over his/her domain.

As it happens, leading bloggers rule the roost. If they say jump, people jump. If a leading blogger states that “vanilla ice” is the coolest thing since sliced bread – guess what – it will be for most of his avid fans and followers.

The common blogger

The common blogger is the person who takes everything the leading blogger says at face value, without questions. This type of blogger usually just goes about his/her ways without putting too much thought into things. He or she is happy to be part of the scene.

The bully blogger

This is the blogger who usually engages into online slandery, be it out of jeliousy, anger, frustration, or simply because he or she is a bully at heart.

Some people seem to think that the Internet can be used as a playground to do their dirty mud fights. Naturally it only needs a tiny spark of aggravation and the fight takes centre stage.

The opposition blogger

Opposed to just bullying others’ for the sake of bullying this type of blogger loves to stick his teeth into the leading blogger because he hates his guts. Besides being a stickler for putting the leading blogger into an embarrasing situation he also likes the idea of ruling the roost himself, but hasn’t quite won the heart’s or trust of the common blogger yet.

The assassin blogger

The assassin operates under the cover of darkness. He travels the Interwebs cloaked with a black hat and he doesn’t give a damn if he leaves a trail of victims along the way. He is seldom caught, nor spotted in full light which makes it very hard to pinpoint by most people.

The trendsetting blogger

These are the cool people of the Internet. Bloggers who set new trends, either via an accidental discovery, a new product/service launch, or because of their bubbling and happy personality. The trendsetting blogger usually has a large group of followers clustered around him and loves to interact with his fans.

The lazy blogger

True to his name, the lazy blogger is just that, too lazy to bother with updating his blog frequently.

The entrepreneur blogger

Entrepreneur bloggers have found a way to monetize their blog to help them earn money online. They often outsource their content needs to service providers to help them spend more quality time with their loved ones. Entrepreneur bloggers are some of the smarter bloggers around, because they know it takes money to make money.

The money-for-nothing blogger

This type of blogger sets up a large number of niche blogs, then drives traffic to his sites (or not!), and sits back to cash in on the profits once visitors to the site click on his ads.

The oblivious blogger

The oblivious bogger doesn’t give a damn about the blogosphere. He just blogs. He doesn’t care about politics, money, readers, traffic, etc.

Are You Catering To Desperate Buyers?

A huge part of your online marketing efforts will be wasted if you don’t target the right keywords to start with. Unless you target desperate buyers in your marketing campaigns you will never strike it rich in any of your ventures. This is one of the biggest reasons why most wanna-be marketers fail to make money online.

Step # 1 Determine desperate buyers?

To find desperate buyers in your niche you have to put yourself into the mind of your potential customer. Since money makes the world go round there will always be commercialism, which means you can continue to sell to a group of hungry buyers who share the same:

Pain
Need
Desire
Pain
Dreams
Problem
etc.

When people experience pain and problems, they are usually very adamant to find a solution FAST. This is exactly where YOU must position yourself if you want to capture that market – you want to be in FRONT of your ideal customer so that they buy from you, and not from your competitor.

Think about keywords you would type into Google when you want a solution now. Don’t stop with the first idea. Brainstorm a ton of them and then find out whether there is a demand for these search terms before you go further.

Step # 2 Work out your strategies

Once you have found the ideal keyword terms to target desperate buyers in your niche you should work out your strategies to make sales. There are literally hundreds of ways to do this online. You can narrow these down by looking at common behavior patterns of your dream customer; where does he buy his “solution?” How much money is he prepared to spend? Use sites like Amazon to research your market. You’d be surprised about the valuable data you can gain from a couple of hours of focused research there.

You could launch a new website/blog and target your content to these people. Your site could be a review site. Another idea is to create an information product to help these people find a solution. This is actually the best way to make money online IMHO. You create your product once and drive traffic to it, then watch the sales roll in indefinitely. Even if you have to update the information at some stage you still end up doing less work then if you were to publish the same information to a blog.

Step # 3 Work the plan

If your step 2 involved running a review site then stick with it until you can measure the results based on the traffic you receive. A lot of people make the mistake of stopping all marketing efforts if they don’t see immediate results. This is a huge mistake. If you do this all the time I’m afraid it is no wonder why you are not making money online.

In order to make money online you must stick with your plan and not switch tactics every 3 days. The hardest part is always the beginning. The key to being able to fairly measure your results is to drive a ton of traffic to your new campaign. You can do this without having to spend a ton of money with the help of article marketing, social media and videos. You’ll soon see whether or not your marketing is proving to be a winner or not.

When I launch a new site I always give it at least a couple of months before I pull the plug. I usually just throw a handful of links at it and then let the site mature a little to see whether Google picks it up or not. If you cater to desperate buyers and manage to drive traffic to your offer it shouldn’t take long to make a sale. In fact, a site I launched not so long ago made me a sale on day 3.

Step # 4 Rinse and repeat

Once you find a successful system that works you can multiply that strategy time and time again by going into micro niches or mirror niches instead. Try it, you have nothing to lose. Keep hungry buyers’ needs in mind when targeting niches and you should already be on your way to see great results.

Oh, my! For the first time since I stopped working as Alaska crabber – I’ll be homeless! What is even more – my family will be sharing with me all the hardship associated with living in Ocean Beach Club resort for almost entire week

My old house is sold and will be signing final papers next Monday while buying new house will be only done on next Wednesday so I have a few days to live without the home – since the subject.

This post is a very simple note that more than likely my posting to the blog or any other activities will be limited.
